Disney Cruise Line is seeking talented and versatile performers for Mainstage productions on their luxury cruise ships in the Caribbean and Bahamas. Rehearsals held in Toronto from June 15 to August 23, 2008, with ship board contract ending March 15 2009. Contract includes competitive pay, room and board, additional benefits package, and no cruise staff duties.

Seeking the following roles:

TOY STORY, the musical: Disney Creative Entertainment is pleased to announce that Academy Awardฎ winner, John Lasseter's beloved animated feature has been brilliantly adapted for Disney Cruise Line by the talented team of Valerie Vigoda and Brendan Milburn.

Seeking musical theatre performers for the following roles:
Buzz – 30's, charismatic actor who sings well. A space ranger who believes in his mission to save the universe. He lives to be the one to save the day. Lacks any self-irony. Powerful Bass/Baritone; Low G to high F#.

Woody – 20's – 30's. Young character actor who sings well. The very likeable Sheriff in the small town. Everybody's best friend. A natural leader. Versatile country-pop singer, strong musicianship. Bari-Tenor to high G#; Strong falsetto.

Andy – To be played by a female. Early 20's. Sweet all-American boy who loves to play with his toys. Alto/Soprano.

Sid - To be played by a female. 20's – early 30's. Hyper-active kid with a great imagination and a mean streak who enjoys destroying toys. Beavis at a younger age. Comic Rock Star voice to high F.

Sarge – mid 20's – late 30s. African American actor who sings well. The classic drill sergeant. Powerful tenor with strong falsetto.

Bo Peep - 20's to early 30's. Sexy and wholesome at the same time. Confident. Musical theatre mix to F.

Other wonderful ensemble members include: SLINKY DOG, REX, POTATO HEAD, BARREL O' MONKEYS, HAMM, POGO DUCK and one male and one female swing.

Other Mainstage roles include Fairy Godmother, Cinderella & Prince Charming, Belle, and Peter Pan in "Disney Dreams, an Enchanted Classic". Snow White, Nala & Simba, and Pocahontas in "The Golden Mickey's".

Male Dancers: 5' 10" and taller. Trained dancer, tumbling and tap a plus, strong athletic appearance.

Female Dancers: 5'5" and taller. Trained dancer, long legs a plus.

Dancers may be asked to sing a selection of their own. Please come prepared with music.

Note: As there is more than one Mainstage production onboard the ship, Disney Cruise line hires a 'repertoire' company of 18 Mainstage performers. All roles require exquisite comic timing, strong musical theatre/pop vocals and imaginative and creative actors who move well.

Requirements:
  • Applicants must be at least 18 years of age to audition.
  • All applicants must bring a non-returnable photo and resume. Please arrive early to sign in and be prepared to begin at the times listed.
  • Singers: Please prepare your best 16 bars of an appropriate song in your key. An accompanist will be provided. Pre-recorded accompaniments or a capella auditions are not allowed.
  • Dancers: Please wear comfortable, form fitting clothes and appropriate shoes. Call backs are held during the audition.
