Position Overview
At the WALT DISNEY WORLD® Resort you'll find everyone who plays a part in productions can be a star. Stage/Audio-Visual Technicians provide technical support for all live entertainment at our Theme Parks and Resorts.
Requirements:
Team player with two or more years of practical or live show experience or a related degree and would like to work your magic behind the scenes on our stages and in our shows.
Roles
There are immediate and future, full-time openings with benefits for experienced stage technicians in the following disciplines: Audio, Lighting, Rigging, Special Effects & Lasers, Props, and Audio-Visual, including data/video projection and video engineering.
Stage Managers
Provide leadership to cast and crew, call shows, and maintain show quality. Requires two years professional experience in a theatrical or special event environment. Ideal candidate will have a degree in theatre or a related field and a strong understanding of show production.
Stage and A/V Technicians
Professional lighting, audio, pyro, rigging and audio visual technicians operate show equipment in Theme Parks and ballrooms. Requires two years professional experience. Stage and A/V Technicians employed by Walt Disney World Co. are covered under terms and conditions of a collective bargaining agreement with the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees (IATSE).
Show Directors
Create and direct shows for the Theme Parks and special events. Requires three years professional experience in the theatre or convention field in a creative position. Must have very strong creative writing ability.
