Walt Disney Internet Group (WDIG) provides strategic leadership and operational management for The Walt Disney Company's Internet properties including category leaders Disney.com, ESPN.com, ABCNEWS.com and ABC.com. Collectively, the portfolio of Disney Web sites represents the 12th largest Web property overall (Jupiter Media Metrix, June '02).

Walt Disney Internet Group's Web sites and servers host and cover some of the most popular entertainment, news and sports events, which in previous years have included such high-traffic events as Superbowl.com, the NCAA Tournament, Oscar.com, Primetime Emmy Awards, Daytime Emmy Awards and Election Night. Hosting these and other events has enabled WDIG to consistently provide an optimum consumer experience through a strong, effective infrastructure, one of the world's largest in terms of size and capacity.

In addition to developing market-leading Web sites, WDIG has led the way in developing new forms of interactive content, such as its Enhanced TV service which showcases the convergence of video and interactive programming, and is a market leader in developing and distributing entertainment and informational content to new platforms. Through relationships with some of the world's largest wireless carriers, WDIG distributes content and services to wireless users under the Disney, ESPN, ABC, FamilyFun and Movies.com brands.
