The Disney-ABC Television Group received 54 nominations for "The 35th Annual Daytime Emmy® Awards" announced live this morning on ABC's "The View." "One Life to Live" received 13 nominations; The View" received 11 nominations; "All My Children" received 8 nominations; and "General Hospital" received 6 nominations. Already holding the record with nine wins, "General Hospital" received its 19th nomination for Outstanding Drama Series, while "One Life to Live" received its fourth nomination in the category; the show was previously honored with the award in 2002. "The View" received its 11th consecutive nomination for Outstanding Talk Show and Outstanding Talk Show Host, honoring Barbara Walters, Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, Elisabeth Hasselbeck and Sherri Shepherd.
Five-time Emmy-winner Anthony Geary (Luke Spencer on "General Hospital"), who was honored with his fifth Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actor in 2006, received his 12th nomination in the category. In addition, David Canary (Adam and Stuart Chandler on "All My Children") – who is tied with Mr. Geary with five Daytime Emmys – was also nominated for Outstanding Lead Actor.
More than any other children's network, Disney Channel received 13 nominations, including four for "Johnny and the Sprites"; three for "My Friends Tigger and Pooh"; and one apiece for "Mickey Mouse Clubhouse," "Little Einsteins," "Bunnytown" and "Charlie and Lola," all part of the learning-focused Playhouse Disney programming block. In addition, the top-rated cable channel's "Disney's The Emperor's New School" received two nominations.
Disney-ABC Domestic Television received three nominations for "Live with Regis and Kelly," including the category of Outstanding Talk Show Host.
"One Life to Live's" Brian Kerwin received his first nomination in the Outstanding Supporting Actor category. In addition, ABC swept the nominations in the Outstanding Original Song category.
In other categories, ABC received two nominations for the "2007 Walt Disney World Christmas Day Parade," including Outstanding Special Class Special. ABC News' "Good Morning America" received a nomination in the category of Outstanding Morning Program.

As previously announced, TV legend and talk show host Regis Philbin ("Live with Regis & Kelly") will receive the Lifetime Achievement Award during the broadcast ceremony. Additional news on the show, presenters, performers and other guest stars will be announced at a later date.
"The 35th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards" will be broadcast live on ABC FRIDAY, JUNE 20, from Hollywood's famed Kodak Theatre at 8:00 p.m., ET/PT (West coast tape delay). This year marks the third time in the ceremony's history the Daytime Emmy telecast will be presented from Hollywood. White Cherry Entertainment will produce the show, with Ricky Kirshner and Glenn Weiss serving as executive producers.
The awards recognize outstanding achievement in all fields of daytime television production and are presented to individuals and programs broadcast from 2:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. during the 2007 calendar year. "The 35th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards" is a presentation of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.
