The Walt Disney Studios Win Seven Academy Awards
At the 80th Annual Academy Awards, Disney•Pixar and Miramax combined to win seven Oscars®, with Miramax's No Country For Old Men winning Best Picture and Disney•Pixar's Ratatouille winning Best Animated Film.
Other winners include Daniel Day-Lewis, who won for Best Actor in Miramax's There Will Be Blood. Javier Bardem won Best Supporting Actor for his work in No Country For Old Men, and Joel and Ethan Coen won Best Director and Best Adapted Screenplay honors, also for No Country For Old Men. There Will Be Blood also took home the Oscar for Best Cinematography.
