and clear and to apply the same standards of quality and integrity
to accounting practices that are applied to the protection and development
of the Disney brand itself.
As part of its ongoing effort to make the company’s reporting
ever more helpful to investors, management took steps in 2002 to
further enhance the level of disclosure and detail for items like
investment and interest income, film costs, pension fund accounting,
debt schedules and stock options.
