Disney Interactive (DI) is strategically important as a medium
to develop intellectual property that can be leveraged across The
Walt Disney Company. Additionally, DI broadens Disney’s core
demographic, helping the company reach tweens, teens and adults
with Disney content.

Donald, Goofy and more than 100 characters star in the innovative
interactive adventure Kingdom Hearts. Selling 2 million units
after launching in the United States, Europe and Japan in 2002,
the highly anticipated, award-winning title is on track to sell
up to 3 million units during its lifetime.
Last year, DI and Sega Sports incorporated ESPN branding into sports
titles, including NCAA and National Football League titles. Moving
forward, ESPN integration will continue with products based on the
National Basketball Association, National Hockey League and Major
League Baseball.
