The November 2004 release of Disney/Pixar's The Incredibles lived up to its name at the box office with a new studio opening weekend record gross of more than $70 million. In 2005, the animation team at Disney is set to debut its first all computer-generated feature with the release of Chicken Little. This impressive effort puts Disney on the cutting edge of new animation technology and delivers one of the Studios' most outrageously entertaining features to date. Chicken Little provides a new take on the classic fable of the plucky, pint-sized chicken one year after the infamous "acorn incident," when the sky really does fall.
This year's release of Disney/Pixar's Cars, directed by Academy Award®-winner John Lasseter, promises to be another record breaker. Featuring a wide assortment of car characters that get their kicks on Route 66, the voice cast includes Paul Newman, Owen Wilson, Bonnie Hunt and Richard Petty.
Scheduled for 2006 is A Day with Wilbur Robinson, based on William Joyce's acclaimed book that follows one fateful day in the life of a boy-genius who visits the future. Also in development is American Dog from Chris Sanders, the director of Lilo & Stitch. Scratching the secret underbelly of canine celebrity, this stylish comedy follows the hilarious and heart-warming adventures of a very privileged pup.
