Virtual Magic Kingdom extends the Disney theme park experience to the online world, building an entirely new connection to Guests and driving visitation to Disney theme parks. Guests can create online characters, compete in action-packed games based on real Disney attractions, hang out with friends, build and decorate their own rooms, and even win cool prizes. Virtual Magic Kingdom-themed locations at Disneyland in California and the Magic Kingdom in Florida encourage Guests to bring their online experience to the real world, as they embark on exciting quests in the parks and win rewards that can then be used in the virtual world.
New technology is also allowing Walt Disney Parks and Resorts to personalize and enhance Guest experiences online. Disney theme park Web sites continue to become more user-friendly as they also become more sophisticated, giving consumers access to up-to-the-minute information about their favorite attractions and activities, while communicating to first-time Guests the magical experience that awaits them when they arrive.
Walt Disney World is using new interactive capabilities to help families preserve their favorite Disney memories. Now Guests can use Disney PhotoPass to link all of their vacation photos together into one online account where they can view, share and order their photos online.
