As senior vice president of Worldwide Public Affairs for Walt Disney Parks and Resorts, Kristin Nolt Wingard is responsible for all communications and public affairs strategies for Disney's theme parks, resorts, and vacation businesses including the Disneyland Resort in California, Walt Disney World Resort in Florida, Tokyo Disney Resort, Disneyland Paris, Hong Kong Disneyland, Disney Cruise Line, Disney Vacation Club and Adventures by Disney. She leads a team of communications professionals around the globe dedicated to creating a well-crafted, unified approach to media relations, internal communications, government relations, community relations and minority business development that drives long-term business growth, strengthens the Disney brand and further enhances Disney Parks and Resorts' reputation as the leader in the worldwide family vacation industry.
Kristin joined the Walt Disney Company in April 2004 as senior vice president of Public Affairs for the Disneyland Resort where she implemented effective public affairs strategies that enhanced the resort's position within the community and fostered strong relationships with local and national media, local and state government officials, industry organizations and community groups.
Prior to joining the Walt Disney Company, Kristin was the senior vice president of Marketing, Communications and Media Relations for the National Restaurant Association. In this role, she oversaw all public affairs strategies, internal and external communications and marketing for the trade group. She also served as Press Secretary, Campaign Manager and Legislative Assistant for former Delaware Governor and U.S. Congressman Mike Castle.
Kristin is a graduate of the University of Delaware with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English-Journalism and Communications and holds a Master of Arts degree in Literature from American University.
