Recognizing the fundamental values of "giving back" to individual communities, ABC Cable Networks Group created Learning Together!, a portfolio-wide public affairs initiative designed to enhance and improve children's learning and personal growth through family involvement.
Learning Together! was created to positively impact the welfare of families across the country through increased interaction and involvement. Studies from the U.S. Department of Education and National PTA suggest that when parents and families get involved, kids get higher grades, perform better on standardized tests, enjoy class and have better attendance in school.
Learning Together! programs are offered in local communities across the country in partnership with ABC Cable Networks Group's cable affiliates. Since launching in 2003, Learning Together! events have touched the lives of more than 15,000 children across the country.
