DISNEY ONLINE PROMOTES JOE DELGROSSO AND CHARLIE ECHEVERRY TO REGIONAL VICE PRESIDENTS OF ADVERTISING SALES
Promotions Follow Recent Corporate Realignment and Formation of New Disney Media Advertising Sales and Marketing Group
NORTH HOLLYWOOD, Calif., (March 20, 2007) – Disney Online, part of the Walt Disney Internet Group (WDIG) and the leader in kids and family online entertainment, today announced two promotions within its growing online advertising sales division. Joe Delgrosso has been elevated from director to vice president, advertising sales, eastern region; and Charlie Echeverry has been promoted from director to vice president advertising sales, west and midwest regions. The promotions follow the formation of the Disney Media Advertising Sales and Marketing Group led by executive vice president Tricia Wilber.
"On the heels of the formation of the Disney Media Advertising Sales and Marketing Group, we are very excited to recognize Joe and Charlie for their outstanding leadership. Both have played instrumental roles in the strong growth we've experienced in online sales over the past several years," said Brad Davis, senior vice president, online sales and western multimedia leader, Disney Online, to whom Delgrosso and Echeverry report. "They are tremendous assets to the team and will continue to deliver integrated marketing solutions to strategic partners for the new group."
Delgrosso will continue to lead Disney Online's eastern media sales team as well as provide direction and strategic development in the expansion of the company's online advertising efforts. Delgrosso has over 25 years of experience in cross platform and integrated ad sales including an extensive background in marketing. Prior to joining WDIG, Delgrosso held senior level positions at Fox and ABC networks and spearheaded the development and execution of interactive marketing campaigns at America Online (AOL).
Echeverry will continue to lead all west and midwest divisional media sales efforts for Disney Online and strategic category development for the ad sales team. Echeverry has more than 10 years of professional sales experience and has been directly involved with the development, sales, marketing and business development of Web initiatives at several companies throughout his career. Prior to joining Disney Online, he served as director of sales at AOL where he was accountable for ad sales, category development and organization and tactical planning for the Western region of AOL's Local division.
